One thing I worried about when I decided to get help for depression and bipolar disorder was that with medication I would no longer be myself. That the pills would take something away, and I would be something else. This was kind of true, and kind of not. I was still me, just less....sporadic.

But the biggest changed I noticed is that I didn't feel the need to write as much. My creativity seemed sucked out of me, and I couldn't write a poem to save my life. As you might have noticed, there's a large gap in times I submitted any kind of writing. If you were actually closer to my life, you'd realize the times I post are when things are bad.

I write as an outlet. And apparently I can only write when I'm depressed. I can easily understand why some of the greatest writers on earth killed themselves. How can you choose between your talent/outlet and health? You feel hollow on either side of that wall.
